Phlebotomy World was created by, Sterva Almonor a (CPl) Certified Phlebotomy/EGK, and Medical Assistant instructor with over 21 years of experience in the Healthcare field. She has held leadership positions in Medical Assisting, as well as adjunct faculty positions teaching courses in Healthcare and Body systems at Cambridge College of Healthcare.
She holds an Associate of applied science in Nuclear Medical Technology, and a Bachelor of science in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology. Her blend of content expertise, natural teaching style as well as skills as a facilitator serve to ensure that her classes will be informative as well as fun.
Over the years, she has helped prepare thousands of graduates for a successful career in phlebotomy, one of the fastest-growing industry in America.

SYLLABUS OUTLINE:
Health Care and Body Systems//PH 101 Phlebotomy
This course describes health care delivery system and health occupations communication interpersonal skills, infection control with recognition and response to emergency situations.
This course also includes safety and security, ethical and legal issues, employable skills, CPR, HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, OSHA and disease concepts. Introduction to phlebotomy, equipment and specimen collection techniques.
The students receive instruction in anatomy, special procedures and documentation competency skills.
